Welcome to SVS Polytechnic College

Civil Engineering (DCE)

Civil Engineering department prepares the students for the various construction industries in public and private sector, railways, hospitals, military engineering services, boards and corporations, construction companies, transportation department, telecommunication, PWD and Rural development. Our department also prepares the students for self employment in areas such as RCC design, construction planning and management. Many of the students of this institute are successful enterpreneurs.

The course of the Civil Engineering diploma is directed towards modern construction planning and designing. Our department is fully equipped with latest and modern laboratories which include concrete technology lab, survey lab, building material and construction.

Mechanical Engineering (DME)

Mechanical Engineering is a diverse subject that derives its breadth from the need to design and manufacture everything from small individual parts and devices to large systems. The role of a mechanical engineer is to take a product from an idea to the marketplace. In order to accomplish this, a broad range of skills are needed.

Mechanical Engineering deals with anything that moves, including the human body, a very complex machine. Mechanical engineers learn about materials, solid and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, control, instrumentation, design and manufacturing to understand mechanical systems.

Mechanical Engineering (Tools & Die)

Tools and Die programs at our college prepare students for the rigorous demands of a career in the mould making and tool and die industry. Professionals in the field have the ability to adapt to a number of tasks, thanks to extensive training in machining, CNC machining and CNC programming , as well as time spent operating the many precise and complex tools of the trade.

Hands-on shop work will give students a chance to use CAD and CAM technology, as well as to practive their skills. Some programs also offer a co-op term to give students real-world experience. Tool and die workers find job in the mining, manufacturing and automative industries, both in shops and in research and development labs.

Electrical Engineering (DEEE)

The Electrical Department also take the practical and theory classes of other branches like Civil, Mech, Auto, Instrumentation and Control, Computer Engg. Dept.

The new curriculum in Electrical Engg. branch has been recently revised, which is industry oriented and practical based. In addition to these the students are also imparted training in different power station, substations Grid-station and other technical / Industrial Visits. The department has strong industry interaction asn has been involved in development of state-of-art products for industry. It has extensive fabrication, calibration and testing facilities for carrying out industry sponsored research and consultancy projects.

Electrical& Electronics Engineering (DECE)

The focus of this programme is on 'Wireless Communications'. The curriculum is so designed as to give adequate emphasis on the digital processing of information for efficient communication over noisy channels. The core programme is supplemented and further reinforced by a well-chosen set of elective courses permitting the students to specialize either in the software or the hardware aspect of communication systems.

The analog and digital electronics circuits have grown enormously in complexity and functionality in this IT age. To cope up with this trend, Knowledge and experience on the use of computer-aided design automation tools have become mandatory. The department is the receipient of the grant for CAD tools and guest faculty for development of manpower

Computer Engineering (DCSE)

In this high-tech era, computer is something without individuals cannot survice and their success depends on their ability to accurately use computers. In the recent years, the world has seen the area of computers & information technology rapidly growing. Dynamic analyzing behaviour of these information gaints is evolving plethora of information, which is being applied towards the developmental activities.

The department of computer Engineering enjoys a place of pride amongst all the departments of the college. Emphasis of the course is on computer science , S/w development, hardware design-management & networking. Specialized knowledge on analysis and design of information is imparted to the students through the audio-video aids (multimedia projectors). Students of department are given chance to go for the industrial training for short periods.
